Hurricane Intelligence Florida: Florida impacts and ENSO, 1851 to present. A JnGmedia property.

128 storms, 1851-present, full tracks

Track Map

Every storm below is drawn from genesis to dissipation -- the whole track, not just the part near Florida. That is different from Zone Lab, which deliberately only looks at the Gulf/Straits/Caribbean approach corridors; here, the point is the complete shape of each storm's path, so nothing is clipped. Current-season storms not yet finalized in NOAA's annual HURDAT2 release are included and marked provisional, same as everywhere else on this site.

* Two storms (1880, 1912) have no modern Saffir-Simpson category because HURDAT2's own reconstructed peak wind for both falls under 64kt -- but NOAA's historical Impacts/Landfalls table lists both as authoritative Florida hurricane-force impacts. That's a real disagreement between two historical sources in a low-confidence era, not a claim these were ordinary tropical storms; they're included here rather than quietly dropped or relabeled as something more certain than the record actually supports.

Pick specific storms (adds to the filters above, doesn't replace them)

Checking a storm here guarantees it's shown regardless of the filters above (e.g. turn on Matthew and Dora specifically) -- but everything you pick still responds normally to Display settings, the walk-through, and Ghost mode. Unchecking the filters above won't hide a storm you've picked here.

Walk through time

Use the season-range slider above to set which years this walks through -- it walks chronologically through whatever's currently matched (filters + picked storms), start to end of that range.

No storms in current selection.

Click any track to open that storm's own page in a new tab (this map stays as it is). Provisional storms are drawn with a dashed outline.
